Ingredients

Scale

150g Eat Curious Dehydrated Mince

450ml water

9g garlic

300g onions

300g carrots

800g passata

40g tomato puree

20g olive oil

6g mixed herbs

4g black pepper, ground

10g gluten-free bouillon paste

Instructions

  1. Hydrate Eat Curious Dehydrated Mince using 1 part Mince: 3 parts cold water (or stock): For this recipe, add 150g Eat Curious Dehydrated Mince to a gastronorm tray or food-grade container. Add 450ml water and stir well to fully submerge. We recommend adding gravy browning to the rehydration liquid to help colour the mince. Cover and leave to hydrate for a minimum of 30 minutes. Overnight hydration (chilled) is recommended for best yield and texture. Drain any excess liquid before using.
  2. Heat oil in large pan. Cook onion and carrot for 10 minutes. Add garlic and cook for a further minute.
  3. Add passata, puree, herbs, and Eat Curious Mince. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Serve with choice of carbohydrate. E.g gluten-free pasta, jacket potato, potato wedges etc.
